Mangoes On My MInd

I am very lucky that both my parents and a cousin of mine have mango trees growing in their backyards. My parents inherited theirs with the house and over the last few years it has been incredibly fruitful. The result for me has been about 15 beautiful, juicy mangoes in recent weeks. There is no way I would have gone out and bought that number, so it has been a real treat.

I love a mango lassi so a curry might be on the cards in the next few days. I think that would be a great way to end a hectic week.

  1. they look delicious! I have some mango saplings in pots that I sprouted from seeds and its about time we planted them. I would love to grow my own, its too expensive to buy many in summer, so they are a special treat.

  4. Gooseberry Jam, although my lassi intentions were good, I think these will all end up being devoured fresh. Making a lassi would first involve me making some yoghurt, which would involve me getting some milk, which would involve be going to the shop. That's just not going to happen today. Fresh it is!
